Elinor Lorum has been living at Cedar Crest since December of 2012 and she is a long-time resident of Janesville. A couple of months ago she decided to share her enjoyment of knitting with fellow residents and started a Knitting Club. It began with a notice at the post office and an item in the Cedar Crest newsletter. Currently there are five members of the club that meets every Tuesday, but other residents are welcome to stop by and chat. Elinor said it is designed to be a social club where people sit and work on their individual knitting projects and talk about their day. Knitting has been a pleasurable and relaxing activity for Elinor since she was eight years old. At one time in her life however, she did turn her hobby into a business. She used to own her own knitting shop in Janesville.
